Expires on 1/1/2011. This is only a early beta release, and there are many known issues with it. A much improved release should be available before this one expires.

Currently the windows version does not have an installer. To run properly, it must be unzipped and kept in the containing folder along with the various included files.

What OBJ2AOP does
OBJ2AOP's purpose is to convert .OBJ files into .AOP files. AOP files, however, can not represent arbitrary surfaces likes OBJ files can, and thus information is usually lost in the process. To help make the resulting file useful, you must orient the shape, center it around the central axis, and specify the height limits for the portion of the model you wish to keep. AOP files also have no way to represent missing data (gaps in the surface), so you must specify how areas that do not have surface data are filled, either just fill them with zero radii or by using one of the (rather poor) interpolation methods. Also, you will be able to specify the comments and orientation stored in the AOP file.
