AOP Viewer's 3D Viewing
The 3D View shows a 3D rendering of the AOP file.
Model - The model, or actual shape from the AOP file is rendered as a smooth surface.
Landmarks - The landmarks are shown as 3D spheres on top of dots textured onto the model. The landmarks are color coded to match the list in the properties and landmarks view. If you mouse over a landmark the name will be displayed in the status text below the 3D view. Multiple points in a land mark are connected by lines.
Cross-Section Planes - The cross-section planes are red and blue translucent planes intersecting the model. The places they intersect the model are the lines in the cross-section view. You can right click (or control click on mac if you have a one button mouse) to reposition them using "Show Cross-Section"
Measuring - Click any point on the model to measure from it. This will create a measuring mark, or a dark gray sphere where you click. You can click again to move it. Once the measuring mark is created, the distance between it and the other measuring mark, which follows the mouse, will be displayed in the status text below the 3D view. You can right click (or control click on mac if you have a one button mouse) to measure from a new location, or to cancel measuring and hide the measuring marks.
Orbiting - Click and drag to rotate the model.
Panning - Hold down shift and click and drag to move the model.
Zooming - You can use the zoom arrow above the views, or use the scroll wheel on you mouse if you have one to zoom in or out. Zooming with the scroll wheel zooms centered on the mouse pointer.
